Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Assembler Team Lead to join the Final Assembly POS 1 Team located in North Charleston, South Carolina on 2nd shift.

Performs advanced, specialized or prototype production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies and subassemblies using automated assembly operations. May provide assembly operation guidance to other assemblers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

• Build effective resource plans.

• Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader.

• Updates and communicates BPS metrics.

• Identifies KPI improvement actions.

• Assigns daily work.

• Leads team in daily safety check-in.

• Monitors and reports daily progress to plan.

• Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.

• Documents and communications shift turnover.

• Establishes overtime requirements and staffing.

• Responsible for monitoring and control of 5S.

• Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues.

• Create standardized work instructions.

• Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training.

• Responsible for BPS process improvements.

• Leads Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 2+ years’ experience with the operations process involving the 787 airplane manufacturing program

• 2+ years’ experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing

• 2+ years of experience in a team environment

• Must be able to obtain and maintain Confined Space Certification

• 2+ years of experience in a formal/informal leadership role in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of Wing to Body experience.

• 3+ years of Team Lead Experience.

• 3+ years of heavy structures experience.

Summary Pay Range: $72,000 - $76,000​
