Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Assembler Team Lead to join the Systems Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 3rd shift.

The teammate performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools

• Build effective resource plans

• Identifies and communicates risks to the First Line Leader

• Updates and communicates BPS metrics

• Identify KPI improvement actions

• Assigns daily work

• Leads team in daily safety check-in

• Monitors and reports daily progress to plan

• Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk

• Documents and communications shift turnover

• Establishes overtime requirements and staffing

• Monitor and control of 5S

• Utilizes Rapid Problem Solving (RPS) and coordinates with Line Side Control Center (LSCC) to address issues

• Create standardized work instructions

• Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training

• Responsible for BPS process improvements, will lead Kamishibai audits and Gemba walks

• Exhibits Boeing Behaviors

• Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)-88.20.

Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or fabrication

• 1+ year of formal or informal leadership experience

• 1+ year of experience with Velocity and 787 other production applications

• 1+ year of experience with production assembly operations on aircraft systems using manual or automated assembly tools

• Ability to work 3rd shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years of experience in a lead role as either a team-builder or a team-leader
