Behavioral Health Technician

Job description:

Location: Recovery Unplugged Outpatient Treatment Center, Charleston, South Carolina
Shift: 

AM Shift- 7am-3pm

Must be able to work weekends and have a valid drivers license

Full Time Overnight 11pm-7am

Saturday-Thursday, must be available to work other shifts if needed

About Us:
Recovery Unplugged operates multiple substance abuse treatment centers across the United States and is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are currently seeking an overnight Behavioral Health Technicians for our outpatient facility in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities:

• Build rapport and maintain open communication with clients experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges.
• Ensure adherence to house rules and guidelines by clients.
• Able to complete the client intake process, including drug testing, searching belongings, and completing intake documentation via KIPU EMR.
• Manage client discharges, ensuring belongings are returned and discharge paperwork is completed in KIPU EMR.
• Conduct drug testing for new intakes and perform random urine analyses (UAs) for existing clients.
• Perform regular safety checks (every 30 minutes) to ensure client well-being.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.

 Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexible schedule availability.
• Familiarity with the 12-step program and the disease model of addiction.
• Experience with KIPU EMR is preferred.
