Mechanical Construction Superintendent

Skillforce has teamed up with a leading mechanical contractor to find a skilled Mechanical Construction Superintendent to work on their commercial and industrial projects. 

This is a full-time, direct hire position based out of Charleston, SC with occasional local travel.

Mechanical Construction Superintendent Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $38-$45/hr depending on experience level
• Background check, drug screen, and MVR required

Mechanical Construction Superintendent Key Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical foremen, apprentices, helpers, and subcontractors
• Plan daily activities and maintain short-term schedules
• Ensure work meets drawings, specifications, codes, and safety requirements
• Coordinate with GCs, other trades, inspectors, and Project Managers
• Monitor manpower, productivity, and project progress
• Take off, price, and order materials
• Assist with change orders, inspections, punch lists, and closeout
• Maintain daily reports and field documentation

Mechanical Construction Superintendent Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial/industrial mechanical construction experience
• 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, sheet metal, plumbing, and mechanical systems
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of OSHA and jobsite safety requirements
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Journeyman/Master license and OSHA 30 preferred
• Experience with large commercial/industrial projects and BIM/digital construction tools preferred
