Property Maintenance Technician

The Jasper, a luxury Class A multifamily community in Charleston, South Carolina, is seeking two skilled Property Maintenance Technicians to join our team.

The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for helping ensure the overall maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the community. This role supports the appearance, functionality, and safety of the property through timely service, preventative maintenance, and attention to detail.

Property Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Assist with unit turns, including preparing apartments for new residents.
• Conduct regular and preventative maintenance of the property to identify and address any issues.
• Respond to tenant requests for repairs and maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Must be available to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Property Maintenance Technician Experience and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property maintenance or related field
• CPO preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance and repair work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
